Here’s a lesson, or rather, inspiration from Meryl Streep’s experience that we can all learn from. You see she didn’t enter the world of acting as a child TV star and worked her way onto the silver screen. And though she’s an accomplished actor, she had her moments of rejection. One that she talks about in the following video (2:07 mins) is about being rejected for the female role in King Kong, because she was ‘ugly’. A real confidence booster…NOT!

It’s a personal testimony about rejection that many of us can relate to. However, she didn’t let one person’s opinion sway her from following her dream of becoming an actor. She didn’t let it break her. Instead, Meryl was decisive and pursued her passion for acting and to date, has received many, many acting awards and is a household name.

Will you be like Meryl and believe in your abilities, instead of believing in what others think?

The possibilities are endless, so don’t let someone else’s opinion dissuade you from going after what you want and deserve.
