Ever had a moment where you felt a hunch, a gut feeling, queasy sensation, call it what you will, where you thought of someone and he called. You felt your colleague wasn’t telling you the truth and later found out you were right. Had a strong feeling not to use the stairs in the parking lot at night and used the lift instead. These hunches, gut feelings, sixth sense, queasy sensations, etc. is your intuition alerting you to, or, about something. and you can gain an edge in your business using your intuition

That is, the ability to understand something, without the need for conscious reasoning. In essence, knowing something without having facts or scientific evidence. Further, intuitiveness is a type of intelligence that can tap into what is in your best interest in any situation or decision.

But with social media, mobile phones, gaming systems, TVs, whatnots, and even people, intuition is often overlooked, because it can be subtle, an inward sense. With all the distraction surrounding us, we don’t hear our inner senses, hence we miss the signs and signals.

According to Inc.com, intuition gives you an edge, as it can help elevate your business. Forbes, too has a few articles on the subject. Google it.

Using your intuition allows you to tap into a segment of your imagination that is combined with knowledge. Using that high form of intelligence further enables you to do what Napoleon Hill cites: “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

Albert Einstein also said:

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”

Along with Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, Isaac Newton and Elon Musk, many others have used, and use intuition to help them in their personal and business lives. You can Google them, too.

Many entrepreneurs, CEOs and business owners quote intuition as being the reason for their successes.

Using intuition in your business gives you a form of intelligence, imagination, and competitive analysis that could lead to innovating a new wave of business, marketing, products and, or, services if you make it a constant in your business decisions.

As noted, many entrepreneurs, CEOs, and business owners quote intuition as being one of the reasons for their successes. It takes practice to listen to your intuition, but once you’ve gotten a handle on it, imagine what it would be like to listen to that inner voice that’s connected to the intelligence of the universe. You can…

  • Make quick decisions that benefit your business even in high risk situations, rapidly changing situations, and situations you may not be familiar with.
  • Go beyond normal advice that may not be aligned with your strengths and get true, accurate wisdom that applies to what will align with your core values, strengths and other factors in your business.
  • Experience more creativity with your projects. By tapping into your intuition, you also access your creative intelligence.
  • Get greater awareness of your true self. You’ll recognize your strengths and personality traits easier by being more aware of your inner voice. You’ll also recognize the thoughts and limitations that hold you back from achieving the success you want in your business.
  • Improve trust in yourself. As you gain trust in your decisions and start to see success, you improve your well -being mentally, physically and emotionally.

But, How Do You Know That Feeling Is Intuition?

Not everyone experience intuition the same way. It can be through several senses. For instance:

  1. Feeling – Do you often pick up on the emotions of others? Your inner sense of feeling can also tune into your intuition by bringing a feeling of good, or, bad as a tell-tale sign of what your inner voice is telling you. All of us have an inner feeling that’s associated with our intuition. In Human Design, there’s different “authorities”, that describe how to tune into these inner feelings that can help you tune into which one works for you.
  2. Emotions – Many people aren’t in tune with their emotions, but they react to them daily without even knowing. By tuning into your emotions, you can learn to trust your first reaction as being the truth. Most often, you may dismiss your feelings. By learning to listen to your feelings, you’ll find they’re often accurate.
  3. Gut Feeling – A gut feeling will often speak loud. It could be a positive feeling and you feel good, or it may feel like a punch in the stomach. However it speaks to you, as you practice tuning in, you’ll learn how it communicates with you.
  4. Motivation – You might feel a drive to do something that gets you out of bed each morning, to act on whatever decision it is at the time.
  5. Spleen – This area will speak softer than the gut and emotions, but when the spleen nudges you, pay attention.
  6. Unconditional Love – Located in the heart, you could feel unconditional love towards something or someone.
  7. Hearing – Ever listened to an audio book and later heard the narrator’s voice in your thoughts? Hearing an inner voice in your mind that appears from nowhere is often how your inner sense works.
  8. Knowing – You knew about something before it happened and likely got a clear thought in your mind, it’s this knowing that’s associated with intuition. If you experience this often, knowing is likely your dominant way of receiving intuition.
  9. Seeing – If you can picture an apple, then you can access your inner visual sense and see visual images in your inner mind or moving pictures. The inner images and movies may come through fast.

Summary

If you fear tapping into your intuition, ignore the feeling. It’s usually reflected in the fact that we humans do not like the unknown. Intuition speaks without fear. It doesn’t hold onto emotions. It gives higher guidance towards what you’re asking about.

Intuition gives you an edge in business,, because it taps into unknown knowledge that moves past limitations.

So, when you feel afraid, tune into a greater sense of knowing.  It will bypass the fear, deliver truth and as you learn and grow, you’ll rely on it more.

If you ignore the signs, you may never know the full benefits it can bring to your business and personal life.

If you’re still not sure about whether you can trust your intuition, use tools to guide you, or, get an intuition coach. Yes, they exist.
