You love your work and invest your time and resources supporting your clients/customers, yet your business is suffering. It’s not growing.  Now, there could be several factors as to why this is happening and the only way to get to the root cause is to do a review.  Let’s start with three common signs you’ve lost your business mojo and what to do to reignite it with renewed focus, so you can once again approach it with enthusiasm, and increase your revenue.

Signs You’ve Lost Your Business Mojo

Lost in business thought

Boredom

As entrepreneurs, we need to be stretched. Whether it’s learning how to navigate a new autoresponder or researching how to solve complex problems for clients/customers. These challenges keep us excited about our business and where we envision it going. However, even though you’re giving your all, you find yourself taking deep sighs. You’re likely bored.

No Longer Challenged

When we easily meet our target goals without breaking a sweat, we no longer feel challenged. For some entrepreneurs, this can also show up when they get caught up doing repetitive and unimportant tasks, such as spending hours learning new software that they don’t need or frittering time away on social media and kid themselves that they’re ‘social networking.’ Or worse, fall into the pattern of spending hours, days, weeks, even months, searching, clicking, and consuming content: reading blogs, listening to podcasts, webinars, instead of doing consistent work to bring in revenue.

Lack Of Structure

This is an extension of the above and is a clear sign that your business is not structured. Hence you can’t see a clear path, and this can knock your confidence sideways.

What To Do?

Here’s the thing, even committed and driven entrepreneurs lose their way from time to time and need clarity to get back on track to achieve results.

One way to reignite your business is to first, revert to (call it what you want) your blueprint, game plan, recipe, roadmap, and review it. You may have achieved what you set out to do initially and now need to tweak it. You may want to up the stakes and veer in another direction, for instance. In that case, add goals that will stretch you, but also set an easy-to-follow plan to achieve those goals – how to get from ‘Point A’ to ‘Point B. This may include surveying your clients/customers and or enhancing and expanding your products/services.

New goals keep you on your toes and challenge you to reach new horizons. The best business goals stretch you. They force you out of your comfort zone to do different activities, meet new people, and discover exciting opportunities.

Now, you may be committed and motivated but would like a fresh set of eyes on your business to look over where you are, what you have, and what you’re doing. A coach with experience, for instance, to bounce off and solidify your ideas and goals so you can move forward with clarity and know that you’re on the right track.
